PART 1
Do you analyze your skin hoping it will miraculously morph into radiance overnight? Do you experiment with creams and serums that leave you frequently disappointed? Well, the problem may be internal.
The skin is one of our largest detox organs and if there is an internal problem, the skin acts like a window into the body or a mirror of the health of our organs and systems. Each area of the face actually corresponds to organs in the body, and the texture and condition of your skin can say a lot about hydration levels, antioxidant support, stress and more.
Here are a few clues:
The upper forehead, close to the hairline, relates to the bladder area. If you have congestion, breakouts or dry skin in this area it can be related to the bladder.
The middle forehead is large intestine
The lower forehead is small intestine
The browline is liver and in between the brows and on the temples can also be liver
The nose may relate to the pancreas
The cheeks can be lungs
The lower jawline can be kidneys
The chin is usually hormonal, ovary related
The area around the lips can be hormonal as well
If your skin is dry you may need to drink more water or your liver could need to detox.
In addition allergies are also a factor in the health of the skin. If you are allergic to a particular food and you continue to eat it, your skin may breakout or show signs of irritation. Common allergens: wheat, soy, dairy, gluten, eggs, seafood, tomato, and nuts.
My advice is to look at the other factors that play a key role in the health of our skin. Vitamin and mineral support, diet and exercise, relaxation and our skin care routine are all essential for healthy
skin.I recommend that all of my clients take antioxidant support which is essential to prevent aging and reverse the signs of damage to the skin. (email me for more info) I also believe that it is important to eat a clean diet with lots of green vegetables and organic food .Juicing greens is a wonderful way to get the proper minerals into the system. If you suffer from liver spots this may be a sign that you need to detox the liver, so increase your greens, eliminate caffeine and sugar and increase your antioxidant support.
Exercise is key for the health of the skin.I find that rebounding is an amazing tool that brings oxygen to the skin. I feel like my skin actually glows after I have used the rebounder. If you are
interested in one go to www.reboundair.com and tell them mindful health referred you. (you will get 10% off)
Relaxation is also very important. Stress is stamped across our face. When we are under pressure, or we haven't had enough sleep, the skin sags, wrinkles may seem more prominent, and the skin looks dull. Try yoga, deep breathing, massage or just take some time for you!
It is important to exercise, drink lots of water, eliminate toxins from the body, get at least 7 hours of sleep and take vitamin and mineral support daily. When you take care of your body it shines through.
